Highlights:

1. Required actions prior to the end of each grading cycle:
  • Grades in the grade book weekly
  • Monitor student average weekly and contact parents if necessary 
  • PLC meets after three weeks to develop a plan
  • Reteach should be done with the no mastered objectives and the grade should not be greater than 70. (Skyward click sheet on “Documenting Reteach / Retest)

  • Face to face teacher/parent conference  

Teacher-Led Model

In this model teachers will determine the TEKS students have not mastered and will develop a plan for recovering.
Teachers will keep documentation of cycle recovery efforts, such as tutorial log, assignments, quizzes, etc.

What to do when the cycle is recovered in the Teacher-lead model
  1. Teacher ask for admin approval
  2. Teacher keeps documentation
  3. Teacher summit the grade request in Skyward

  1. Verify completion in the student's Edgenuity  Grade book.
  2. Print the Progress Report
  3. Fill out the completion form 
  4. Complete the course in Edgenuity
